The Authentication & Verification Services System ( AVSS ) leverages D&B’s existing investigation capabilities and infrastructure in the specialized domain of identity management for business-to-business e-commerce to facilitate Client and Server Digital Certificate investigations for CA’s like Verisign, AT&T, GTE as well as for e-marketplaces like Nextday.com, Kandasoft and others. Digital Certificates thus issued contain D&B's Data Universal Numbering System, DUNS Number embedded in them, which is an internationally recognized common company identifier in EDI and global electronic commerce transactions. Hence, PKI based B2B transactions involving such digital certificates can be later used to make real time decisions for buyers and sellers in B2B transactions. The Authentication & Verification Services System is an XML based web application that facilitates fully automated submission processing and reporting for Eccelerate.com, D&B’s internet offshoot, for both PKI and Non-PKI based e-commerce transactions. There are two generic types of Identity in the B2B space - Corporate Identity and Organizational Individual Identity. For PKI based applications, Eccelerate.com associates perform entity, domain and contact identity verification for each request on behalf of CA’s or e-marketplaces as part of the investigations prior to issuing Verisign Class II Client Digital Certificates. For Non-PKI based applications, the transactions would be based on the DUNS number alone. Iam involved in designing , coding and testing of new enhancements to this system. |

The, PC based, Sales Marketing Analysis Reporting and Tracking (PC - SMART) System’s primary function is to track all subscribers to Dun and Bradstreet; record details of their contracts and the usage made of the services. This information is then reported and analysed in a variety of standard reports for sales, marketing and financial purposes. The system is comprised of online functions to maintain and review subscriber and contract information, reports for senior management, salesmen and SMART Administrators, online data-entry facilities for non-EOS usage and overnight procedures that book usage to the subscribers. There are a number of sub applications under PC SMART. The present scope of the project is to port the Subscriber Maintenance, Order Maintenance, Fast Order Maintenance, PC SMART User maintenance, Maintain User Permissions, Update Retrospective, and List pending contracts modules. This project involves the migration of PC SMART application developed in NSDK to VB 6.0. The various activities that are involved are,
